Barcelona rule out forced sales to register players, but open door to exits on player terms

Club insists no planned sales to meet La Liga registration rules but remains flexible if player seeks to leave.

FC Barcelona have clarified their position ahead of the new season: no sales are planned merely to register new signings like Joan García, Rashford, Szczesny or Martin. The club is instead relying on increased revenue, notably from VIP boxes at the Camp Nou.

President Joan Laporta stated that the registration situation is progressing without needing to resort to player departures solely for financial compliance. The club considers the squad balanced and closed but will entertain offers if players openly request exits.

“We don’t intend to sell to register. But if any player wants out, we’ll study the offer.”

There are currently five players awaiting registration, including Roony Bardghji who will join the B-team. Meanwhile, Héctor Fort is advised to seek a loan after declining to return to the reserves.
