Juventus finalize Kalulu signing after standout loan season

Juventus have officially signed Pierre Kalulu from Milan for €14.3M after a successful loan spell in 2024/25.

The 25-year-old French defender played 39 matches for Juventus last season, logging over 3,000 minutes and establishing himself as a key figure in the back line. The deal includes €3 million in potential bonuses and a resale clause in Milan’s favor.

Kalulu’s consistency and tactical versatility convinced the Bianconeri board to trigger the buy option ahead of schedule. He is now under contract until June 2029, solidifying Juventus’s defensive core amid a broader squad rebuild.

Juventus fans have praised the move, noting Kalulu’s composure and ability to slot into both a back three and four-man defense. Former sporting director Federico Cherubini, who initially arranged the loan, called the deal a “strategic success.”

“Kalulu adapted immediately and gave us defensive balance. He deserves this next step.”

Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus head coach

With Kalulu’s deal sealed, Juventus are now expected to shift focus to midfield reinforcements as they prepare for the new Serie A campaign under new management.
